The first anticancer drug based on deuterium depletion (Vetera-DDW-25?® A.U.V.) was registered for the treatment of house-hold pets with tumors in 1999, it verified an efficacy rate of 70-80% in veterinary practice. For human consumption Preventa?® deuterium depleted drinking water is on the market since 2000.
